The main tasks af this unit can be summed as:
- Management of scientific and technical documentation relating to BC-STP components, mainly to the Innovation Park and to the University Park.
- Management of electronic data bases of which the Library is member.
- Management of electonic links to national ( CNUDST ) and international ( ISI ) data banks.
- Reevaluate and manage scientific and technical production within the Innovation Park, specially within the Research Centers.
- Adhere to electronic scientific journals or important magazines to the Park varied activities
- Assess the different Scientific works and other invention patents set within the BC-STP, in particular within the research centers or their exams
- Establish links with different national and international centersin the documentation and scientific informatin domains.
- Establish an electronic databasis of the publications and journalsavailable to the Library.
- up-dating the BC-STP homepage,
- facilitating the different Park competencies access to the National Information Service on Scientific Research and Technology SIREST,
- Inform the different BC-STP structures (labs, research centers...) of the different national and international scientific meansthat can enhance the existant programs and projects of the different laboratories,
- Informing researchers of national and international scientific events relating to the Park specialties,
- Arrange scientific events to inform about the BC-STP,
- Launch, manage and publish the Park journal,
- Assist the establishment of a modern library having firm links with publishers as well as national and international documentation centers. |
