Objectives:

Study of the mechanisms of Legumes-Rhizobiaceae interactions and the diversity of the symbiants. Research of resistance genes in M.truncatula to legumes pathogenic Fungi. Characterisation of biochemical and molecular markers involved in the legumes -microorganisms interactions and heir response to abiotic constraints. Identification of antifungal and antibacterial biological molecules. Improvement of the symbiotic nitrogen fixation.

Research Themes:

1) Improvement of the Laboratory (LILM) collection of microorganisms: identification and characterisation 2)screening in the collection for microorganisms antagonistic to pathogenic fungi and bacteria: to use of microorganisms in biocontrol. Evaluation through bioassays and biosafety, identification of the biological molecules involved in the antagonism, analysis of the mode of action 3) screening in the collection for microorganisms producing antioxydant enzymes and antioxydants: to use of microorganisms for human health. Evaluation through bioassays and biosafety identification and quantification of molecules involved in the antioxydant activities, analysis of the mode of action 4) Identification of microbial genes controling and regulating the antagonistic and antioxydant biological molecules and involved in plant microorganisms interaction process
